Hello! I have spent the last 9 months servicing, upgrading, and driving this M3 convertible and it’s time to let it go! The list of new parts, rare options and important updates on this car is fairly extensive and it’s wonderful to drive and very reliable. Its proven itself by driving as much as 700-1000 miles without a hiccup within the span of just a couple of days more than once, with another such trip happening right after this post is made. Mileage is currently at a low 114,000 but will probably climb a few hundred more miles before north east driving season is over. Overall the car is in good used condition, there are little scrapes/dings that one would expect from a car built 25 years ago, and the 2 front fenders were both replaced with “DOT-R” and repainted sometime far back in the cars life but no big accidents are apparent and the car has a clean Pennsylvania title. - Manual soft top conversion ; The fabric soft top was newly replaced by the previous owner, and I went a step further by removing the pesky electronic top mechanics and replacing them with the rare factory Bmw manual top parts in the front and rear. The rear manual tonneau cover latch system is no longer available from Bmw but I was able to find one and install it, these parts sell for $1000+ in used condition and the m3 convertible was never offered with this setup in the United States. - Manual gearbox conversion I removed the automatic transmission and replaced it with a factory zf manual gearbox, upgrading a few parts while I was installing all new consumables. The flywheel has been upgraded to a light weight steel unit which has made the motor much more responsive. I upgraded the shifter bushings to delrin, and the master/slave clutch line to stainless steel braided hose. Exterior - I spent about 6 hours performing a full paint correction and applying sealant, as well as wetsanding and polishing/restoring the plastic headlights. - Replaced the fog lights with new ones that came with the car. Suspension/Tires/Brakes - Installed brand new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that have about 1000-1500 miles on them. - New front Sachs shocks from FCP euro - Rear subframe bushings replaced with Powerflex polyurethane - New Bimmerworld stainless steel braided brake lines - Brake fluid/clutch fluid flushed with new fluid Transmission - New light weight steel flywheel - New OE Sachs clutch/pressure plate - New Sachs throwout bearing - New pilot bearing - New stainless steel clutch fork pivot pin - New shifter arm pin - New delrin shifter arm bushings - New shifter ball bushing - New shift lever delrin bushings - New clutch fluid hose - New clutch master cylinder - New stainless steel braided hose from master to slave cylinder - New clutch slave cylinder - New rogue engineering rubber transmission mounts - New driveshaft guibo - Fresh transmission fluid at time of conversion Engine - Brand new exhaust manifold studs and copper nuts which have been updated to the “e90” style studs with torx bit for easy removal/install - New exhaust manifold gaskets - New gaskets from manifolds to cat section and new copper nuts - Kassel Performance “Ultimate Swap” tune. Noticeable HP gain, also deleted EWS as well as all emissions programs such as secondary air pump and rear oxygen sensors (I left all physical components installed for inspection purposes or for those who may have states with more strict laws regarding visible emissions equipment) - Cooling system replaced by p/o, currently has new plastic thermostat housing installed but I have plans to replace the housing with an updated aluminum one before sale. - Fresh oil/filter change. The motor DOES NOT have any leaks! Description continued in photos!
